Overview

Jebel Harim is the highest mountain in the Musandam Peninsula, located in the northern part of Oman. The mountain is a prominent feature in the region, rising to an altitude of about 2,087 meters (6,850 feet) above sea level. It’s known for its rugged terrain, dramatic cliffs, and unique geological formations. The surrounding area is famous for its beautiful landscapes, including valleys, canyons, and lush greenery, which is quite different from the more arid parts of Oman.

The name “Jebel Harim” translates to “Mountain of the Women” in Arabic, and there are several theories about the origin of the name. One theory suggests that it may be linked to the fact that the mountain is located near areas historically known for being places of refuge for women, or alternatively, it could be tied to cultural practices involving the separation of genders.

06:30 – Meet & Greet / Departure from Dubai (Sharing Basis) normal car • Early morning pickup from your designated location in Dubai. • Meet our representative and begin your scenic drive to Khasab, Oman. • Travel via Ras Al Khaimah and cross the Oman border (passports required; visa and border procedures apply). 10:00 – Depart for Sharing 4WD Mountain Safari to Jebel Harim (1,784 m) Explore ancient mountain villages • Visit Bait Al Qafl (traditional stone storage houses) • Short nature walks at Al Khalidiya Park • Scenic photo stop at Khor Najid viewpoint – panoramic views of the fjords • Fruits, and soft drinks served during the safari 13:30 – Seated lunch at a local restaurant 16:00 – Return transfer to UAE (sharing basis) Estimated arrival back in Dubai by evening.
