2
Stop 2
Dyrhólaey, formerly known by seamen as Cape Portland, is a small promontory located on the south coast of Iceland, not far from the village Vík. In fact, Dyrhólaey is the southernmost point in mainland Iceland. It was formerly an island of volcanic origin, which is also known by the Icelandic word eyja meaning island.
3
Stop 3
Reynisfjara is a world-famous black-sand beach found on the South Coast of Iceland, just beside the small fishing village of Vík í Mýrdal.
4
Stop 4
Hjorleifshofdi is a cape on Myrdalssandur on the South Coast of Iceland. The cape is full of great history and incredible geological facts. Explore the recently found Hjorleifshofdi Cave – best known as the Yoda Cave – during your visit to the cape. The cave’s uncanny “Yoda” shape is worth a look!
5
Stop 5
Fjaðrárgljúfur is a canyon in south east Iceland. The Fjaðrá river flows through it. The canyon has steep walls and winding water. It is up to 100 m deep and about 2 kilometres long. It is located near the Ring Road, not far from the village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur.
6
Stop 6
The Diamond Beach is a strip of black sand belonging to the greater Breiðamerkursandur glacial plain, located by Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon on the South Coast of Iceland. Icebergs fall of the glacier and break up on the beach forming "Diamonds" hence the name.
7
Stop 7
The Skaftafell National Park is one of the pearls of Iceland, spanning large black sand volcanic ash plains, glaciers and volcanoes. Truly a sight to behold.
8
Stop 8
Seljalandsfoss is located in the South Region in Iceland right by Route 1 and the road that leads to Þórsmörk Road 249. The waterfall drops 60 m and is part of the Seljalands River that has its origin in the volcano glacier Eyjafjallajökull.
