Itinerary

Stop 1
Start your day with an early morning pick up by your friendly driver from your hotel and transfer to Beijing Qinghe Railway Station to catch your train from Beijing to Datong, which departs at 7:00am.Upon arrival, your driver will assist with obtain the train ticket for you.

Stop 2
After enjoy a 2-hour ride, arrive at Datong Railway Station. Your private guide will hold a sign with your full name on it and meet you at the exit. Then drive about 1.5 hours to Hengshan Hanging Temple, which is a temple built into a cliff (75-metre (246 ft) above the ground near Mount Heng in Hunyuan County, Datong City, Shanxi Province. Along with the Yungang Grottoes, the Hanging Temple is one of the main tourist attractions and historical sites in the Datong area. It takes about 1 hour 20 minutes on the way,and you will spend around 90 minutes to see this spectacularly temple.

Stop 3
After enjoy a local lunch, continue to Yungang Grottoes, one of the top three grottoes in China, along with Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang and Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang. Yungang Grottoes represent the outstanding achievement of Buddhist cave art in China.

Stop 4
After the tour is finished, you will be transferred to Datong Railway Station and catch your departure train at 6:01pm back to Beijing.

Stop 5
Your driver in Beijing will pick you up from Beijing Qinghe Railway Station and transfer back to your hotel.
